Purpose: Ensure account details, including your name and email address, are current to receive notifications about circuit court case activities. This article describes how to update eCourts account information.
Applicable Users: Paralegals and legal secretaries associated with Wisconsin attorneys
- Visit the eFiling website: http://efiling.wicourts.gov.
- Select the Update account information link.
- Enter your User name and Password. Then, select [Log in].
- Select the applicable Update... link to edit account information.

a. Update user information allows you to update your name, signature, email address, and account recovery information. Select [Save] when finished.
Note: If your eCourts account type is Local government staff, an additional checkbox is available titled, Are you a social worker? If you are a social worker, select this checkbox to give your account access to non-party case filing and document filing. b. Update password allows you to change your password. Enter your Current password, then enter your New password and verify it by typing it again in the Retype new password field and selecting [Save].

c. Update security questions allows you to update the security questions asked during account recovery. Select [Next] to provide answers to your selected questions.

- Once you have made your changes, select [Save] or [Save changes].
- Select [Return to account information] to return to the main Update account information page. To change other areas of your account, repeat step four, selecting the link for the information you wish to edit.
- Click [Previous] to exit the Update account information system.
Note: When updating your primary email address, a notification with a new PIN is sent to your new primary email address. You must verify this PIN the next time you log into the eFiling system.
