Purpose: This article describes how to update eCourts account information and user preferences. Keep your account details and email preferences current to receive notifications about circuit court case activities and ensure that only valid recipients are carbon-copied on them.
Note: If your street address has changed, you must contact the clerk of court's office to ask them about their process for updating party addresses. The eFiling system does not maintain physical address information for self-represented litigants.

Updating eCourts account information
- Visit the Wisconsin eCourts login page at https://logon.wicourts.gov or the eFiling website at https://efiling.wicourts.gov.
- Select the Update account information link.
- Enter your Username and select [Continue]. Enter your Password. Then, select [Log in].

- Select the applicable button or link to edit account information.

a. Select [Edit] below the User information section to update your name, signature, email address, and account recovery information. Select [Save] when finished.
Note: When updating the primary or recovery email addresses or recovery mobile phone number, you will be prompted to verify with a one-time code before saving changes. -
b. Update username allows you to change your eCourts account username. Usernames must contain only letters, numbers, or hyphens and have a length of five to 32 characters.

c. Update password allows you to change your account password. Enter your Current password, then enter your New password and verify it by typing it again in the Confirm new password field.

a. Select [Edit] below the User information section to update your name, signature, email address, and account recovery information. Select [Save] when finished.
- If saving a change to your username or password, select [Continue], select a method for receiving a one-time code, and then select [Send].
- Enter the code in the one-time code field and select [Verify].
- Once you have verified with a one-time code and your username or password successfully updates, you will be logged out of your account.
- Select the Update account information link to log back in with your new username or password if you need to update additional account information. To change other areas of your account, repeat step four, selecting the link or [Edit] button for the information you wish to edit.
Updating user preferences

Log in to the eFiling website at https://efiling.wicourts.gov, or log in to https://logon.wicourts.gov and select the application link for Appellate or Circuit Court eFiling. For more information, see the article Logging into an existing eCourts account.
- Hover your mouse over your name at the top-right corner of the screen. Select preferences from the dropdown menu that appears.
- Enter or edit the email address in the CC email notifications field.
- Select [Save].
