Circuit court eFiling - Filings in need of payment

Purpose: This article assists eFile users make payments for filings submitted without accompanying fees. Unpaid filings are placed in a holding queue and are not typically viewed or accepted by court staff. Users have up to 48 hours after submission to make payments through the My cases or $ payment needed pages on the eFiling site.

Filings in need of payment – Payment needed

1. Visit the eFiling website at https://efiling.wicourts.gov/ and log in. For more information see the article Logging into Wisconsin circuit court eFiling.
2. Select $ payment needed at the top of your screen.
   
3. The Filings in need of payment screen, will list any filings which are in need of payment.
4. Locate the filing you want to pay for and select the [Make payment with US Bank] button. From here, you will be redirected to US Bank’s ePayment site.

Filings in need of payment – My cases

1. You can also make a payment from My cases. Within 48 hours of the initial filing, an option to Make payment will appear in the Actions column for each case that requires payment.
2. Once you arrive at Filings in need of payment, you can proceed with paying for your filing as normal. Locate the filing you want to pay for and select the [Make payment with US Bank] button. From here, you will be redirected to US Bank’s ePayment site.
