Purpose: This article assists eFile users make payments for filings submitted without accompanying fees. Unpaid filings are placed in a holding queue and are not typically viewed or accepted by court staff. Users have up to 48 hours after submission to make payments through the My cases or $ payment needed pages on the eFiling site.

Filings in need of payment – Payment needed
- Visit the eFiling website at https://efiling.wicourts.gov/ and log in. For more information see the article Logging into Wisconsin circuit court eFiling.
- Select $ payment needed at the top of your screen.
- The Filings in need of payment screen, will list any filings which are in need of payment.
- Locate the filing you want to pay for and select the [Make payment with US Bank] button. From here, you will be redirected to US Bank’s ePayment site.
Filings in need of payment – My cases
- You can also make a payment from My cases. Within 48 hours of the initial filing, an option to Make payment will appear in the Actions column for each case that requires payment.
- Once you arrive at Filings in need of payment, you can proceed with paying for your filing as normal. Locate the filing you want to pay for and select the [Make payment with US Bank] button. From here, you will be redirected to US Bank’s ePayment site.
